There are vey few dry beans being farmed in the Southwest anymore. When irrigation arrived from McPhee Reservoir beans lost acreage to alfalfa. Construction on a $15 million biodiesel plant, which will be located in Weber Industrial Park in Dove Creek, is expected to start this summer.
