June 7, 2007--Grant to battle CO home well contaminants (Water Technology)

The US Environmental Protection Agency awarded the San Luis Valley Ecosystem Council a $100,000 grant for its project designed to limit residential exposure to contaminants such as metals and fertilizers from household wells. The grant is part of the $1 million in grants the EPA recently awarded to 10 community-based organizations across the country for improving the environment in low-income communities.
