June 14, 2008--Farm Bureau reaffirms support of NISP (Fort Collins Now)

The Colorado Farm Bureau has reaffirmed its support for the Northern Integrated Supply Project. In a letter to Chandler Peter of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Colorado Farm Bureau President Alan Foutz outlined his organization's support for the project and asks for approval from the corps to complete it. The project is designed to combine two new reservoirs, the Glade north of Fort Collins and Galeton east of Ault which would provide an additional 40,000 acre-feet of water annually to municipalities and other entities in northern Colorado.
