June 17, 2008--Dillon Reservoir outflow cut (Summit Daily News)

Boating in the Lower Blue will be winding down, at least temporarily, after a short and sweet season, as Denver Water drastically cuts the outflow from Dillon Reservoir. Water-resource engineer Bob Steger announced Monday that releases from the reservoir will drop from 514 to 250 cubic feet per second, citing the need to fill Dillon Reservoir and to divert substantial amounts of water through the Roberts Tunnel to fill Denver Water's South Platte reservoirs.
