June 22, 2008--Bill would allow collection of rainwater to fight fires (Pueblo Chieftain)

A Southern Colorado lawmaker wants to take a bill that allows Coloradans to collect rainwater and use it to help fight fires. Rep. Marsha Looper, R-Calhan, is asking the Legislature's Water Resources Review Committee to consider introducing a measure next year that would allow local fire protection districts to collect rooftop rainwater, and store it in case of fire.
