June 23, 2008--Mesa County will improve sewer system for BLM official's home (Grand Junction Sentinel)
Mesa County plans to spend $6,000 on sewer system improvements at the home of Catherine Robertson, Grand Junction field manager for the Bureau of Land Management. County Administrator Jon Peacock said he and county staff decided to pay for a special pump, using a septic-system elimination fund. It’s a matter of fairness, not because of Robertson’s position with the BLM, Peacock said. "Does it make me uncomfortable? No," he said. County Commissioners Janet Rowland and Craig Meis said as long as the county is treating Robertson the same as every other county resident, the expense is appropriate.
