July 11, 2008--Sen. Salazar announces funding for water project (Pueblo Chieftain)
More than $3.7 million for Southern Colorado projects are included in the energy and water appropriations bill, passed Thursday by the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee. U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar included more than $74.4 million in funding for critical energy and water projects throughout Colorado. The appropriations bill must still pass a full vote of Congress. "In Colorado, water is central to our way of life," said Democratic Senator Salazar. "These projects will expand the availability of water for Colorado residents and improve water quality and safety."
