July 22, 2008--County addresses gas commission on water disposal (Trinidad Times Independent)

Representatives of Las Animas County traveled to Denver to testify before the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (COGCC) about the possible effect of the commission's new rules on the use of water taken from the ground during coalbed methane (CBM) gas extraction. Commissioner Ken Torres and Interim County Attorney Dixie Land addressed the commission regarding the draft rules' 900 series.
