July 26, 2008--Officials: Don't move a mussel (Cortez Journal)
Don't move a mussel! That's the theme of a campaign to prevent the spread of zebra and quagga mussels to Colorado lakes. The goal of the Colorado State Parks and Division of Wildlife is to educate the public about the serious problems caused once mussels get established in lakes and to prevent them from spreading.
