July 31, 2008--Sprinkler improvement impact growing (Pueblo Chieftain)

Agricultural improvements now present a tiny problem, in terms of satisfying Kansas demands for Arkansas River water, but could become as significant as well pumping in terms of depletion. The Colorado Division of Water Resources attempted to put numbers to the problem to satisfy members of an advisory committee on proposed irrigation consumption rules. The group met at Colorado State University-Pueblo on Wednesday.
