August 20, 2008--Fish die in Loveland pond (Loveland Reporter Herald)
An estimated 200 fish died over the weekend when a severe temperature drop mixed with heavy rain and runoff that contained organic matter decreased the oxygen level in the pond, said Tracy Turner-Naranjo, the city’s environmental compliance administrator. Officials do not know what organic matter was in the runoff but do not believe it came from the recycling center, she said.
