August 28, 2008--Oil, gas well issues do not threaten Brush source water (Fort Morgan Times)

Although there is work to be done on the three producing oil and gas wells within the Brush source water protection area, the wells are not thought to be an immediate threat to the city’s groundwater resources. "I didn’t really see anything that I feel like would be a threat to shallow groundwater right this instant, but I did require several corrective actions," said John Axelson of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
