October 7, 2008--Study: Drilling's water impacts minimal (Trinidad Times Independent)
A new hydrology study of the effects of coalbed methane drilling on water levels in the central Raton Basin disputes the significant impacts found by a previous study. The study, jointly commissioned by Pioneer Natural Resources and XTO Energy, suggested that the effects of drilling on water levels in the basin were negligible.
