Dominy Departs at 100

Floyd DominyCommissioner for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 1959 to 1969, Floyd Dominy, died at the age of 100 on April 20th. Under his leadership the Colorado River was dammed at Glen Canyon to create Lake Powell. Dominy, who spoke of his pride in this achievement stated, “Glen Canyon Dam and the creation of the most wonderful lake in the world, Lake Powell, is my crowning jewel."
