Lower Dolores Working Group

U.S. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service officials at the Dolores Public Lands Office are reviewing a series of recommendations regarding updated management plan for the Lower Dolores River. The recommendations were solidified over the past 18 months through a series of discussions held by the Lower Dolores Plan Working Group. The group was created in 2008 at the request of Steve Beverlin, district manager of the Dolores Public Lands Office. "We had requested the Dolores River Dialogue to form a subcommittee and that morphed into the Lower Dolores Working Group," Beverlin said. Gathering a diverse group of voices was important when considering the issues involved with river management.
