Pitts Received NWRA 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award

Tom Pitts received the National Water Resources Association’s (NWRA) Lifetime Achievement Award at their 81st Annual Conference in California on November 1st. Pitts has testified on numerous occasions before Congressional committees on Endangered Species Act issues on behalf of the Association.  He serves as chairman of the Environmental Committee and has twice received the President’s award for his contributions to the Association. Tom has 45 years of experience in environmental permitting and assessment of water and hydroelectric projects, water resources planning, and management. He has been actively involved in the development and implementation of basin-wide, local, and regional solutions on behalf of water users that provide Endangered Species Act compliance for more than 3,000 water projects in the upper Colorado, Platte, Rio Grande, and San Juan basins.
