McIntire New CWCB Public Information Officer

Kate McIntire is the new Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) Outreach, Education & Public Engagement Program Coordinator (aka Public Information Officer). McIntire brings a wealth of West Slope experience to the Front Range CWCB offices as (among previous other jobs) past: Coordinator at Public Access Group of Ouray County, and Director of the Watershed Education Project at the Telluride Institute. McIntire received her Masters of Public Affairs Degree with a concentration in Environmental Policy, Management, and Law from the University of Colorado at Denver and her Bachelor of Business and Marketing Degree from Michigan State University. Her major CWCB job responsibilities will be outreach to the water community and public to obtain acceptability and stakeholder input regarding state water planning, and specifically outreach related to Colorado's Water Plan over the next two years. McIntire will also work closely with the Basin Roundtables to support their outreach efforts across the state. Other areas of responsibility include professional water plan development, outreach and marketing; broad water policy support and quality control for the section and agency; and intra-agency data input and response for water planning processes.
