Water in the West Art Show

In an effort to raise awareness about vital water issues, the WIP, in conjunction with the Durango Arts Center (DAC), conducted their second annual Water in the West Art Show. This year’s theme was Sentinels of Change: Drought in the West. The juried exhibit opened October 25th at DAC and ran through November 16th. As part of this series, there was an evening panel of water experts including Colorado Supreme Court Justice Gregory Hobbs. The panel discussion focused on precipitation, snow and temperature trends, as well as the energy-water nexus. Additional topics included water and the recreation-tourism economy and water law. Thank you all who attended and to those who helped to make it the success it was!
