As one water court case continues through the system another is preparing for trial in the San Luis Valley. Rio Grande Water Conservation District Attorney David Robbins told the district board during its quarterly meeting this week that the confined aquifer rules case is before the supreme court. District Water Judge O. John Kuenhold heard the Colorado Division of Water Resources State Engineer's confined aquifer rules case during a lenghtly trial in early 2006 and approved the state's rules in November, 2006.
