September 7, 2012--Conference to address impacts of Colorado drought (Denver Business Journal)
The Colorado Water Conservation Board is holding a “Statewide Drought Conference: Building a Drought-Resilient Economy Through Innovation” on Sept. 19-20 to highlight the research and experiences of professionals working in regions and industries affected by the recent drought. The agenda includes panels and speakers addressing such topics as advances in drought monitoring and mitigation, managing drought-related risk, what the latest science says about drought and climate change, and the economic impact of drought on tourism and recreation, as well as urban and natural environments.
