The Chairman of the Drinking Water Research Foundation criticized the recent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announcement stating that it will not issue a health regulation for perchlorate for public drinking water systems.

A three-month-old salmonella outbreak initially linked to raw tomatoes has been traced to a jalapeño and serrano pepper farm in Mexico. It's possible that peppers were contaminated by irrigation water on one farm, then sent to a packing facility where they contaminated other produce.
