April Montgomery Appointed to the Colorado Water Conservation Board

April Montgomery, a Southwestern Water Conservation District Board member since 2002, has been named to the Colorado Water Conservation Board by Governor Ritter. The seat was vacated by Bruce Whitehead when he became Senator. April received her law degree from the University of Virginia and is currently a member of the Colorado Bar Association. She was a planner and the Open Space & Recreation Director for San Miguel County from 1991 to 1999, where she was involved in wetlands, watershed, and riparian issues. She currently works as the Programs Director for the Telluride Foundation. April resides in Norwood (San Miguel County) and serves on numerous boards. She sees water as one of the most important issues Colorado faces in coming years. Congratulations April!
