CRWCD Releases New Book

The Colorado River Water Conservation District (CRWCD) released their new book, Water Wrangling, in October. It is a detailed account of the history of the CRWCD written by George Sibley and is a ‘must read’ for anyone interested in water. The book is the story of the CRWCD’s first 75 years, using imagination, legal facility, political shrewdness, and appeals to moral rightness beyond legal correctness to find balance among the various entities competing for the use of the river's water. It is ultimately the story of a minority seeking equity, justice, and respect under democratic majority rule--and willing to give quite a lot to retain what it needs. To obtain a copy of the book, contact the CRWCD at (970) 945-8522or visit their website at www.crwcd.org.
