Red Rocks Community College

There will be a Grand Opening in mid-October for the new Environmental Training Center, home of the Water Quality Management (WQM) Technology Program at Red Rocks Community College, Lakewood campus. The Environmental Training Center is a multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art expansion and remodel of their existing building with a conference room, four new classrooms, several offices, and a 100-car parking lot. The older facility saw a major renovation and upgrade itself with a dedicated display area, enhanced laboratory classroom, and expanded restroom area.

The WQM Technology Program at Red Rocks is a comprehensive program that prepares students for employment in water and wastewater operations. The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in WQM Technology is a two-year program at full-time attendance (12 credits/semester). Education and training in water, wastewater, industrial treatment, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems are some of the courses offered. In addition, if you are already working in the industry, the WQM program offers courses that apply to higher operator certification.
